Canadian Coast Guard National Memorial
In honour of our colleagues
The Canadian Coast Guard National Memorial was erected in 2007 to honour our colleagues who have lost their lives while performing their duties. It pays tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice while upholding our motto: Safety First, Service Always.
The Memorial was erected on the grounds of the Canadian Coast Guard College in Sydney, Nova Scotia, as it is the Canadian Coast Guard's national training centre, and is visited annually by employees from across the country. The Canadian Coast Guard Memorial Policy outlines the guidelines used to memorialize employees.
