Canadian Coast Guard is setting sail towards a greener future!

Our fleet is turning to eco-friendly water treatment systems, with unique features.

Last year, we installed a new, green, wastewater treatment technology on the CCGS Earl Grey specifically designed to clean sewage and “grey” water.

After over a decade of research and engineering work with Canadian company Terragon Environmental Technologies, we introduced to the marine industry the world’s first Sewage Wastewater Electrochemical Treatment Technology System.

This cutting-edge clean technology, eliminates about 75% more of the suspended solids, and other ecologically harmful particles present in the wastewater that can pollute our oceans and waterways.

This milestone is a part of our greening strategy to ensure cleaner coastlines and heathier ecosystems for our communities and future generations.
