Coast Guard is taking steps towards a more inclusive and accessible workplace. Some of these steps include:

  • removing "male" and "female" labels from uniform descriptions
  • adding the hijab and turban as uniform options
  • creating an accessibility network for employees
  • developing the Department's first Accessibility Action Plan with Fisheries and Oceans Canada
  • implementing the Government of Canada Workplace Accessibility Passport
