This course also covers:
- relevant international regulations
- cargo codes and standards concerning:
- stowing
- securing
- transport
- safe handling
- how dangerous cargoes can affect the safety of life and of the ship
- policies and methodologies for dangerous, hazardous and harmful cargoes
- loading and unloading operations, with special regard to the transport of cargoes identified in the Code of Safe Practice for Cargo Stowage and Securing
