Description
The course will provide training on how to work in a confined space environment to maximize individual and group safety. The overall objective of this training is to protect those entering or working around a confined space. This course covers:
- principles related to working safely in confined spaces, such as:
- physical
- chemical
- biological
- applicable government regulations for working in a confined space environment
Trainees will acquire knowledge and skills through a combination of:
- group discussions
- lecture presentations
- individual and team practical exercises
Trainees must successfully complete written and practical tests to receive course certification.
This course will be delivered by a Transport Canada certified training contractor either on campus or at the contractor's site.
