Written Notices to Shipping and NAVAREA Warnings
The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) issues Notices to Shipping (NOTSHIP) to inform mariners about hazards to navigation and to share other important information.
Notice
As of February 1st, 2011 the Canadian Coast Guard Notices to Shipping (NOTSHIP) desk is permanently relocating its service from Sarnia, Ontario to Prescott, Ontario. The process and service remains the same, only the location has changed.
On February 1st please forward all NOTSHIP requests to Prescott's Notice to Shipping Department at:

NOTSHIP alerts are broadcast by radio by Marine Communications and Traffic Services (MCTS). Broadcast notices to shipping are not published on this site.
WRITTEN NOTICES TO SHIPPING
Written NOTSHIP alerts are issued when the location of the hazard is beyond broadcast range, or when the information remains in effect for an extended period of time.
REGATTAS
