Pride Activities 2018

“If you can serve, you can serve in the Canadian Coast Guard” is a mantra for us at the Coast Guard. Our message is that everyone is welcome to join us as colleagues, and we are proud of this dedication to diversity. In support of the Pride community, we will be participating in Pride Parades and celebrations across the country. In solidarity with the LGBTQ2 community, we will fly flags representative of the Pride movement along with Coast Guard flags.

For more information on Coast Guard participation in Pride events you can contact PAIR/APRI.XNCR@dfo-mpo.gc.ca. For a recap of last year’s celebrations visit our YouTube page. You can also follow us on Twitter @CoastGuardCAN and Facebook @CanadianCoastGuard.

Through participation in Pride, and other initiatives, the Government of Canada is working to improve equality for LGBTQ2 communities. The Free to Be Me page provides information and resources related to the Government of Canada's work to advance LGBTQ2 inclusion.
