Prescott MCTS Centre maintains three separate English continuous marine broadcasts. Consult the list below to determine the channel used in your area and the content of the broadcast.

CMB West

Includes broadcast of:

• marine weather forecasts for Lake Ontario and Lake Erie
• marine weather reports for reporting points for Lake Erie from Long Point to Port Colborne and for Lake Ontario from Port Weller to Kingston
• ship weather observations
• Notices to Shipping for Lake Ontario and Lake Erie east of 80° 20' W and portions of the Trent-Severn waterway system receiving coverage from the Cobourg facilities
• Notices to Shipping revising the position of every reported offshore exploration vessel
• Water levels on Lake Ontario and Lake Erie
• Ice hazard bulletin for Lake Ontario and Lake Erie

CMB East

Includes broadcast of:

• marine weather forecasts for St. Lawrence River from Kingston to Montreal and Lake Ontario
• marine weather reports for reporting points from Point Petre to Montreal
• ship weather observations
• Notices to Shipping for St. Lawrence River west of 73° 53' W, Lake Ontario east of 77° 40' W and portions of the Trent-Severn waterway system receiving coverage from the Kingston facilities
• Water level reading for Montreal Harbour

NAVTEX (H) 518 kHz (radioteletype)

NAVTEX is the system for the broadcast and automatic reception on the frequency 518 kHz of maritime safety information by means of narrow band direct-printing telegraphy. The NAVTEX broadcast transmitted by Prescott can be received using a NAVTEX receiver within the area of Lake Huron, Georgian Bay, Lake Erie and Lake Ontario.
