NAVTEX (S) 490 kHz (French radioteletype) and NAVTEX (T) 518 kHz (English radioteletype)
Navtex is the system for the broadcast and automatic reception on the frequency 490 in French and 518 kHz in english of maritime safety information by means of narrow band direct-printing telegraphy. The Navtex broadcast transmitted by Iqaluit MCTS can be received using a navtex receiver within the area of Iqaluit.
