The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) has a variety of clients - such as recreational boaters, fish harvesters and the commercial shipping industry. As part of the current review, the CCG invited clients to provide feedback on its levels of service. Representatives from client groups most affected by CCG services were invited to participate in sessions organized across the online. Clients were asked to submit their comments before November 30, 2007.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to share comments on services provided by the Canadian Coast Guard. Comments received have been considered and summarized into a national document that is now available in draft form. The purpose of the document is to consolidate comments received across the country and provide CCG clients with an opportunity to validate the content. Please note that the document is not intended to provide a comprehensive report of everything clients mentioned during the Levels of Service (LOS) Review. However, the summary document should provide an overview and highlights of client concerns regarding CCG services across the country.
Clients, in particular those who participated in LOS client engagement sessions, are invited to read the draft Summary of Client Comments and let us know of any important elements that may have been missed or potential errors. To do so, we ask that you complete the online comment form before November 1, 2008.
Following validation by clients, an updated final version will be prepared and made available.
