Frequently asked questions

How do I apply for a job with the Canadian Coast Guard?

The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) is a civilian marine organization within Fisheries and Oceans Canada. As such, all non-professional categories are hired through your local Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC) center.

Professional categories — navigators, engineers, pilots and logistics officers — are normally recruited and trained at the Canadian Coast Guard College located in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

You can obtain more information on the CCG Officer Training Program by contacting:

Where can I find an email address for a friend/family who works on one of your ships?

Without the express permission of the person in question we do not forward email addresses to the general public. In many instances, there are no "personal" email addresses for individuals on board our ships. We recommend, therefore, contacting the person by conventional means.
