Students

Introduction

The Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) employs bright young minds from across the country to help further its mandate. Students enrolled in full-time studies at universities, colleges, and CEGEPs are given exciting opportunities to participate in projects that translate into success. Where else would you want to be?

The CCG hires students from the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP), a Government of Canada inventory of students seeking jobs in Canada, or through Co-operative Education programs provided by academic institutions. In addition, the Inshore Rescue Boat (IRB) Service is a Canadian Coast Guard program run through FSWEP which has the only seagoing positions available for students.

A position as a student offers you competitive wages. Wages start at $11.38/hour, and with experience, they can go up to more than $19.33/hour.
