Maritime Security Working Group

Global effects of risks and threats causes an enormous amount of worldwide security initiatives. Maritime Security (MS) is one part in this scenario to enhance security in the maritime domain. Its international and interagency dimension justify the need to be coordinated in order to forward an ongoing development in this combined civil and military sphere.

The NACGF Maritime Security Working Group will design a common concept to enable the combination of efforts and capabilities of navies and coastguards entitled to act against the various threats for a save maritime environment. The aim is to develop maritime security guidelines for a better co-ordination of international and interagency assets. This requires to compare the different rules and features of the agencies in order to filter common intersections which could match together and/or to filled out their gaps, if necessary and possible.
