This course describes the duties and responsibilities of a ship’s officer while at sea and in port. Topics covered in this course include:

  • berthing and unberthing a ship
  • emergency response contingency plans
  • safe manoeuvring and handling of a vessel
  • bridge procedures of a safe navigational watch
  • the responsibilities of a ship’s officer at sea and in port
