Description

An introduction to the basic principles of electric motors and generators. The course includes laboratory experiments and teaches officer cadets the scientific approach to problem solving. Topics covered in this course include:

  • electricity
  • magnetism
  • alternating current
  • inductive and capacitive reactance
  • impedance in a series alternating current circuit
  • direct current transients in inductive and capacitive circuits
  • magnetic induction of electro magnetic force and the generator principle
