Description
This course will provide an understanding of the dangers and responsibilities of persons working in areas where fall hazards exist. It will also cover the proper use and inspection of the required equipment and critical controls necessary to reduce the risk of a fall. Officer cadets will receive training in:
- equipment selection
- the proper use of selected equipment
- the correct procedures to apply for minimizing fall hazards
Officer cadets will acquire knowledge and skills through a combination of:
- group discussions
- film presentations
- lecture presentations
- equipment demonstrations
- performance-based exercises
Officer cadets will be required to complete written and practical testing in order to receive course certification.
