Quebec Municipalities – Our Partners in SAR
To enter into 40 MOUs with SAR partners in the 133 municipalities to share best practices and resources.
Training of 84 Inuit from 14 communities in Nunavik in marine rescue procedures. Goal is to educate the communities and organizations on the assessment of risks and the importance of acquiring and using knowledge, skills and equipment required to minimize injury and loss of life.
Following the decentralization of its training programs to local zone/units and the subsequent savings in associated travel and accommodation, additional funds have been allocated to local training. As a result the CCGA must acquire and distribute equipment to allow local training programs to be delivered to volunteers in each community. Equipment includes: Water Rescue Manikins (10/regions = 50), Pocket CPR and CPR masks, defibrillators, AIS systems.
Design and execute an online training system for volunteers in all regions across Canada. System will allow volunteers to access interactive online tutorials on the internet or through local installation where internet is not available.
