Cadet Officers Duties

Duties include:

• providing ice breaking services
• monitoring boater distress signals
• coordinating and delivering Search and Rescue services
• assisting the thousands of vessels involved in commercial shipping, fishing and recreational boating
• conducting research and science work
• attending to marine environmental concerns
• maintaining Navigation Aids (buoys, beacons, channel markers)
